I was contacted to provide the entertainment for Mr. and Mrs. Deal's wedding when a DJ friend of mine had an unexpected circumstance arise. Thankfully, he was organized like myself and had their song requests plus a timeline ready to go. I looked over the wedding details carefully and set up a quick meeting with the couple to talk about their wedding. Even though we had limited time, I knew getting together to go over the timeline and music requests was important. Kelly and Traig were both very laid back and easy to work with. After the meeting, I was excited about their wedding reception!
Mr. and Mrs. Deal said their vows at the Wildflower Barn in Driftwood, Texas on a beautiful summer afternoon last month. Their reception was very cozy and I think everyone really enjoyed the Hill Country setting that surrounded Wildflower. Many of the guests filled the dance floor when I played songs like Cupid Shuffle, the Chicken Dance and the "theme song" for the night, Take Me Home, Country Roads by John Denver. The best part I thought was when their family and friends came together for a group singing of Mr. Denver's classic hit! Afterwards, the night concluded with a sparkler send off.
The photographer for the evening was Michelle Loconto and she graciously shared a few photos from the wedding with me. I like Michelle's work because many of the photos are close ups and it's easy to feel the emotion of each moment. She's a professional photographer and I would highly recommend her for any special event.
