For our latest Wedding Wrap Up, all of us at Sound Experience would like to say 'Congratulations' to the brand-new Mr. and Mrs. Oldham! The young couple recently said their vows at St. Mary's Church in Wimberley before heading over to Stone Hall at Texas Old Town in Kyle for the reception. After they were introduced to their wedding guests, Mariachi Suroesté provided some exciting entertainment while everyone enjoyed the Cocktail Hour and dinner.
At the conclusion of dinner, many of their guests jumped in line for the Grand March which is a Czech wedding tradition. At the end of the march, Mr. and Mrs. Oldham were settled in the middle of a circle of loved ones. At that moment, I played "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri for their First Dance. Everyone swayed in and out leaning toward the couple while they danced in the center. With much of their family and friends around them, I am sure they will remember this as one of the best moments of their life.
Once the dance floor opened, I spun everything from Top 40 and Disco to Country and traditional Czech waltzes. There was even a photo booth on hand and guests were lined up all night taking pictures with their photo props. The newlyweds exited the dance with everyone blowing bubbles around them while I played "Marry You" by Bruno Mars.
It was truly an honor to be the DJ at their wedding. I not only wish them all the best, but would like to thank both of the groom and bride's families for all of their assistance especially with music selections needed. Everyone was extremely nice and I am thankful for all of their suggestions!
